I decided to stop by Anthropologie yesterday to get a few gifts. As always I was really inspired by their windows! I love all the knitted & crocheted garland and chains! Once I got home I did some searching online and was lucky enough to find this tutorial showing how to make these cute trees using a crocheted chain. I decided this was the prefect gift to make for my mom, and the perfect time to try crocheting for the first time. Here is how my tree turned out. It was super easy, the video in the link showed a quick way to learn how to make a single crocheted chain. I used all my leftover yarn from scarves I had made in the past, so the colors kept changing. My husband took this cheesy pic while I was making it. (We need to work on his photography skills) You can also see my preggers belly at 6 months.
omg. i have been doing a 3 stitch knit garland for a year. i'm about 6 feet into it. i need about 30 feet. maybe in a few years it will be done.... doubtful...
